Friday Five Moments

Like most, the holidays are often spent among the likes of loved ones celebrating seasonal traditions and the year past. I sincerely hope that you Christmas and New Year soirees brought you much happiness. 2014 was an incredible ride for me, and I cannot wait to see unravel the secrets of 2015. Under the tree | This year I was spoiled with the opportunity to spend time with my family on the mainland. Christmas was filled with laughter, movies, games and good fare.

Traditional | I was raised to enjoy the holidays not through gifts but though annual traditions. My family and I went and visited Victoria’s historic Butchart gardens and walked through the park in awe of the 12 Days of Christmas theme.

Shine bright | Stanley Park hosts holiday events throughout the year. We managed to catch the bright seasonal lights, rounding off the night with a train ride and snacks of roasted chestnuts and pretzels.

Hemlock | Finding snow on Christmas day is no easy feat. We climbed the mountain to find this pristine palace of fluff to play in.

NYE | New Year’s Eve was spent among friends and (far too much) champagne. Happy New Year!
