Friday Five Moments

Monday’s statutory holiday could not have been better timed for me. After 6 days of vacation spent in glorious New York City (including travel time), I am thrilled to have some downtime. I spent this past week getting caught up with work, managing phone dates, and visiting with two of my dear friends (needless to say it was a definite girls sleepover weekend)! Here’s to a relaxing Family Day Monday of listing to new music and week prep.

Welcome to NYC

A very Taylor Tale | LaGuardia airport welcomed us to NYC in the cheerful words of none other than T. Swift!

ESB | The views from the Empire State Building were simply incredible. The ESB is in midtown Manhattan; this view is south towards downtown. Better photos soon to come as these are just iPhone captures.

Brooklyn bridging

Brooklyn x Paris | My top three trip highlights include walking the Brooklyn Bridge above bustling traffic (and finding the most amazing Parisian restaurant), Greenwich Village’s unique personality and Union Square/14th for it’s culture of friendly people, boutique shops and scrumptious food stops.

Century 21 finds

Department | Century 21 was first described to me as “Winners on crack”. It did not disappoint. The department store offered a wide variety of luxury products. I left with Michael Kors sunnies and a fresh Spring structured bag.

SFUniversity | Sunny weekends had me making the most of the break from the rain and climbing the steep hill in Burnaby to Simon Fraser U.
